I have been inspired to undertake the great return.
This post is an explanation of The Blog Era that was sophomore year for people that weren't there. My next post will be real, authentic, blog content. But for now, here is some context because it's needed.
For those of you that have met me past high school, the significance of this moment will be impossible for you to ever understand.
This is my blog. A blog I started January 2020.
If you would like to be immersed in my high school mindset, all of my posts are still available for your reading pleasure. Do not judge me, I'm sure I sounded stupider than any of you could everrrr possibly think I could sound (since I'm the epitome of cool now). Anyway, my blog became an outlet for me to complain and shit talk my friends - they were all sent links to the blog posts about them so don't worry, I was shit talking with my chest. No anonymous bullshit. Also featured on my blog is the occasional interview and week recaps. But the hateful, complaining, and shit talking posts are what created the blog revolution.
On the left of my blog you will find a list of links to my friends blogs. Many of which do not work anymore. However, please take a look at Dannys blog, as he has inspired my return to blogging. He is currently active on his blog so give it a read. Shoutout to him, he was always the most participatory in The Blog Era of sophomore year and his blog is a good time.
Basically, everyone started a blog. Just like that there were 8 of us putting out content. I was happy I inspired my friends to start such a valuable creative outlet. Who needs a journal? It was awesome. We would all be sat in class not doing our work and ranting about our teachers. It was one of the most joyous times in my life (though it may not seem so due to the copious amounts of negativity this blog portrays). It was an amazing place to vent, and it now serves as a time capsule that I am still afraid to read. This blog covers the transition into Covid, that inevitably lead to the end of the blog era cause none of us had anything to talk about anymore.
There are not enough words to explain the significance of this time in my life but I hope you can somewhat wrap your head around the concept.
Recently, I was thinking about starting to blog again, I even made a whole new website thing. But I never made a post. I was trying to be something I wasn't. I was trying to write posts that actually said something to people that I don't know. But there's no fun in that. There's fun in ranting and speaking to my friends.
So now, I return to what I know. To the blog that started it all. No aesthetic changes, no deleting cringy content. This is my authentic blog and I am happy to be back.
Stay tuned for my next post, which will be much more in line with the blogging of yesteryear.
Thank you for reading - leave a comment if you want to make my day

P.S. Most of the comments say anonymous (I had to google how to spell that) so if you want to sign ur comment at the end with who you are that'd be awesome. Or you can remain anonymous, up to you.
So happy jackiesjunkyard is back!!
